Michigan Autumn Bucket List Collection
Michigan Autumn Bucket List Collection
Have you started your Michigan Autumn Bucket list yet?
I have! It’s my favorite time of year and I certainly have some ideas on how to take it all in! And my 2019 Fall Collection of nail polishes are inspired by just that!
Northern Nail Polish Fall 2019 Collection: Michigan Autumn Bucket List
Fresh Cider & Donuts
First, we have Fresh Cider & Donuts. This smooth mauved brick creme polish is inspired by a trip to the local cider mill and enjoying the sights, sounds, tastes and smells. A must for Michiganders in the fall time!
Hayrides & Corn Mazes
Next, we have Hayrides & Corn Mazes. Every year, when I reach the middle of the corn maze, I stop for a moment and breathe in the cool air and listen to the rustling sounds of the breeze moving through the tall corn stalks. That memory is what inspired this creamy tan polish color.
Autumn Color Tour
Third, we have Autumn Color Tour. This one is self explanatory, but driving around the state while the leaves are at their peak can certainly be breathtaking. My favorite days are when the blue skies are out letting the sun hit the bright oranges, reds, and yellows on the leaves. That can be seen in the multi chromatic nail polish I’ve created.
Apple Picking
Apple Picking is a fun family activity in Michigan! Picking them fresh from a local orchard and baking a warm apple pie or making apple crisp is a must-do on my list this year. Did you know: Michigan produces more than 900 million pounds of apples per year! I’ve made this berry pink because our apple varieties are typically this jewel pink tone, rather than red — such as Honeycrisp, Gala, Empire, or Fuji, all peak around mid-September to October 2019.
Oktoberfest
Oktoberfest is celebrated all throughout cities and communities in Michigan. Among some of the more popular annual celebrations are in Frankenmuth, Lake Orion, Grand Rapids, Sault Ste. Marie, and Pentwater.
Cool, Crisp Autumn Air
One of my favorite activities in the fall is bundling up outside next to a nice fire under the stars. I’ve actually began doing this more often near the end of August this year. If you’re lucky, you can witness some amazing things like shooting stars and meteors, or even the dancing Northern Lights. Cool, Crisp Autumn Air is a color inspired by these evenings spent outside, soaking up the last couple weeks we have before snow starts falling.
Sweater Weather
Lastly, we have Sweater Weather. Not sure if it’s just me, but I enjoy digging out the old sweaters from the closet to see what I have from past seasons, and maybe even treating myself to some new stylish sweaters to pair with jeans for the Fall. One of my favorite activities to do is cuddle up with a mug of my favorite hot beverage and a book with a big warm snuggly sweater on a rainy Autumn afternoon.
