Terms, Conditions, Policies…

By placing an order on northernnailpolish.com you imply that you have read and agree to our policies on this page, and our website.


Turn Around Time

Estimated turn around time is 5-14 business days for in stock polishes. 2-3 weeks for custom or out of stock polish. Please contact us if you need quicker processing. (If we don’t know your circumstances, it makes it impossible to know how to work with your needs and expectations.)


Shipping & Handling

I ship orders via USPS or UPS depending on the size and what is being shipped. Shipping notifications are sent to you using your provided email. Orders will have a delivery confirmation that may provide tracking information. The time from when your order leaves my hands and when it gets to you, is up to them. If you feel your order has exceeded a reasonable amount of time to arrive, please contact me.

While we strive to ship items on a timely basis, issues may arise that will delay the shipment of your order. Any issues that our out of our hands, meaning once the package has left our studio, including items getting lost, tracking not being updated on the delivery company website, etc., must be communicated directly with the delivery company. Northern Nail Polish is not responsible for lost packages, delayed delivery, including weather issues, etc.

I currently offer free shipping on all US orders over $100.

If your order is returned due to incorrect information supplied at checkout, I will not refund shipping costs. Package can be reshipped at buyers expense or order refunded minus shipping costs. If you provide an incorrect address, and your order is already shipped, the post office may be able to redirect, for a fee.

Orders over $250 will require a signature confirmation for your protection.


International Orders

I do not ship nail polish outside of the US, including APO AE, APO AP, etc.


Payment

Northern Nail Polish is happy to accept PayPal and major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover). Credit cards are processed when the order is placed. No gift credit cards, those orders may be cancelled with no prior notification. We have had a problem in the past with gift credit cards and have decided to not accept orders using them anymore.

Credit card declined?  Make sure that you enter the billing address of the card exactly how it appears on the statement along with ensuring you enter the three or four digit code from the back of the card correctly.  Those not matching are the two most common reasons for cards to be declined.


Returns, Damaged Items, Missing Or Incorrect Orders

If your order arrives with a damaged or incorrect item, please email me with a picture of the issue within 72 hours of delivery confirmation as provided by USPS.  Please include your order number and shipping information that was on your order.

We do not accept returns for any reason, due to the personal hygiene nature of our cosmetic and nail polish products. ALL sales are final, whether in person or in stores. We will help you with issues, and make sure you’re happy with your purchase. We take pride and strive to provide great customer service and it’s rare that a customer is left unhappy. I will try my best to solve your issues, including suggesting the right tools and techniques to help your own at home manicure experiences! There is a learning curve if you are used to salon or gel nails. :)

With that said, we are a small local business that can not afford to refund willy-nilly for silly reasons and will not be pressured to do so. We have seen and heard it all, and a lot of bad apples out there try to scam small business owners, unfortunately. If you plan to be malicious, just don’t order from me. Stop right now and leave.


Out Of Stock, Back Ordered, Or Discontinued Items

Though I try to keep all items in stock at all times, and keep accurate stock on discontinued items, mistakes do happen.  If I am unable to fill part of your order I will contact you via email within 3-7 business days.  If there is no response, I will refund you for any item I will not be able to ship within stated shipping times.  I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.


Animal Testing

Northern Nail Polish does not test any of the products on animals.  I take care not to purchase any ingredients that have been tested on animals and have verified with my suppliers that they don’t purchase from companies that test on animals, or test on animals themselves.


Vegan? Vegetarian?

Northern Nail Polish products are vegan, containing no animal products or by-products, unless otherwise noted in the listing. As of right now, the only item that is not vegan are the cuticle balms, which contain natural bees wax.


Storage & Product Tips

Please remember that colors can appear different on different computer screens. I do my best to ensure pictures are a match to the real thing but colors do vary depending on monitors.  Each batch is made by hand, and slight variances may occur. 

For best results –   Please shake polish well before use. Some settling is normal, as is some separation of color over time; all polish should be shaken to prevent this. Polishes with a large amount of glitter may appear thick, this is normal. Polish thinner (not remover!) can be added as needed. I do suggest a base coat and our top coat for the best wear and smoothest feel and protection for your manicure.  For easy glitter polish removal, Google search the ‘foil removal method.’


Product Accuracy

Please understand that we have made every honest effort to display as accurately as possible the products/colors/textures featured on northernnailpolish.com. However, we cannot guarantee the outcome of the color on your nail will be exactly as displayed as your monitor on whatever device it is that you are using may alter (slightly or greatly) the colors you actually see on the screen. We cannot be held responsible for the limitations of your monitor and cannot guarantee that your monitor’s display of any color, texture, or detail of actual merchandise will be accurate. Our goal is to be as accurate as we can when describing our products, including color, texture, application, etc. However, Northern Nail Polish does not warrant that the product information is error-free, current, complete, or reliable. We reserve the right to correct any inaccuracies, errors, or omissions (including after an order has been placed) and to modify or update any information at any time without prior notice. Please note that such inaccuracies, errors, or omissions may relate to pricing and product availability, and we reserve the right to cancel or refuse to accept any product order placed on northernnailpolish.com or elsewhere based on incorrect pricing or availability information. We apologize for any inconvenience.
