Fun Fact: The Esther Williams Swimming Pool at Mackinac Island's Grand Hotel is a renowned Michigan landmark. Named after the actress and competitive swimmer Esther Williams, who starred in the 1947 film This Time for Keeps filmed at the hotel, the pool has been a centerpiece of the Grand Hotel's amenities with beautiful views of Lake Huron and Mackinac Bridge. In 2021, the pool underwent a significant $10 million renovation to celebrate its centennial anniversary, adding family-friendly water features, an adults-only infinity pool, and luxurious cabanas.
