6 Ways to Keep Your Nails & Cuticles Healthy from Home
I thought I would share some techniques that I use to keep my natural nails healthy and growing long and strong, all from the comfort of my home without ever needing to make appointments for nail treatments.
Nourishing Base Coat (worn alone or with color on top)
There are a couple products that are staples in my collection. I always, always, always have a coat of Nourishing Base Coat on, whether I top it with a color or keep it natural and โbare,โ as seen below. This ensures my nails stay hydrated and continue to grow strong.
In the past, I used to have such thin nails that they would crack lengthwise, which is so painful! I created this Nourishing formula to help enhance my natural nails and after about 2-3 weeks of use, youโll notice much stronger and thicker nail growth. The Nourishing Base Coat also helps nail polish color stay on your nails, topped with our quick dry top coat for a complete long lasting manicure.

2. Use Cuticle Oil Daily
Another technique that is a part of my daily regime (especially during the dry winter months!) is using cuticle oil. I now have three formulas, including a new nut-free unscented hypoallergenic cuticle oil formula. Available in two sizes, and a new easy to use pen brush applicator.
Revitalize your cuticles with our natural cuticle oil formulas!
Tired of dry, cracked cuticles? Our nourishing cuticle oil is here to keep them soft and hydrated. Just brush or drop a small amount around the cuticle area and gently rub it in, either after removing your nail polish or once your manicure has cured. Perfect for daily use, this lightweight oil helps lock in moisture to prevent dryness, keeping your nails and cuticles looking fresh and healthy all day.
Recommended routine:
Shape nails with glass nail file to desired length and shape. Wash hands and dry completely.
1. Apply a coat of Nourishing Base Coat
2. Apply two thin coats of color, making sure all coats dry in between layers
3. Apply a coat of 30 Second Top Coat to finish off the look
Once manicure is dried completely, you can apply the cuticle oil around the skin and nails to keep cuticles healthy and moisturized.
For removal, dab a cotton ball with a small amount of remover and dab onto each nail and let soak for about a minute before scrubbing at the nail polish.
***Be sure to review ingredients for allergens and test on small area before using.

4. Use a Glass Nail File
Did you know, using a glass file on your nails has benefits? The benefit of using a glass nail file vs. a traditional emory board is that the glass file seals the layers of keratin together at the edge of the nail, preventing peeling and chipping. Glass nail files have a longer life than disposable files, since they can be sanitized and reused, making them more eco-friendly.
